How to Take Part

Group Events

While The Kilo Challenge has become a regular feature of several sports training camps, we understand that these may not be possible on a large scale for a while yet. In the meantime, we are accepting results from smaller, independent events (and will be organising some ourselves in the near future).

Traditionally, group challenges have been held in parallel, with every competitor starting at the same time. A timekeeper or multiple timekeepers should be designated to track finishing times, failures, and intermediate splits for multiple-kilo attempts if possible. We would also request photo or video proof of the successes. Certain attempts of interest, including attempts to break the overall speed record or PlanKilo attempts, should always be video recorded in full.

Be responsible when planning your event. In particular, check the ingredients of your foodstuffs beforehand for allergens and ensure that nobody is at risk of consuming an unsafe portion of any ingredient. Make sure competitors are aware of all risks involved before starting. Try to also choose realistic foodstuffs to avoid excessive food waste. The Kilo Challenge originated in a room full of hungry athletes; little went uneaten at the end of the day.

Contact us at info@kilochallenge.com for information on how to submit the results from your event.

Individual Attempts

We'd love to receive photos and videos of your attempts to add to the results database. For individual attempts, we've created a simple form for you to fill out, but you can also contact us with any questions or if you've attempted an Extreme Kilo Challenge that isn't covered by the form.
